(Two ghosts + love-triangle showdown + adversarial relationship + love and hate + terminal illness + the truth)
Everyone knows Wen Ran is sick, but he doesn't know it himself.
After meeting Lou Yan, his madness seemed to find a vessel.
During an episode, he knelt and begged for a kiss. “Don't let me go mad, my god.”
When his possessiveness spiraled out of control: “Believe me, I'll kill them. You can only be mine. I'm the only one allowed in your eyes.”
When he was in his right mind: “I wish I could stay by your side forever and make you mine.”
Whenever Wen Ran got into trouble, Lou Yan would bail him out.
He could go mad as much as he liked. He had Lou Yan, so he wasn't afraid. Lou Yan could fix anything.
But Lou Yan died. Wen Ran had killed him with his own hands.
Love turned to hate.
The eyes that had once longed for love held nothing but hatred now, their gaze bristling with venom. “I regret not killing you with my own hands. You've come back to life even faster this time.”
Lou Yan climbed out of the coffin, his face drenched in blood. He lightly licked the blood still wet at the corner of his mouth and smiled coldly. “You already killed me, darling.”
“What a shame.”
Wen Ran demanded, “Why didn't you come to see me even once?”
“I hate you. You don't want me anymore either, do you?”
“Darling, hate lasts longer.”
Then the truth came out.
“You killed me.”
“You asked me to.”
“I remember now. Then how did you die too?”
Lou Yan said, “You're afraid of the cold. I was worried about you.”
Wen Ran said, “So you came to keep me company.”
Lou Yan didn't answer. He just pinned him against the coffin lid, his breathing ragged. “So you'll have to make it up to me. You owe me, and now you have to pay.”
This book is in a sad style. It made me feel so uncomfortable and disgusted when I read it [smile], but I wanted to read on, ahhhhhhhhh
