I, a Miscellaneous Scholar, Topple the Mandate of Heaven

Do you know about the Hundred Schools of Thought?

Not the dozen or so schools you read about in textbooks.

Confucian scholars can silence a thousand people with a single word. Daoist priests can summon thunder from the sky with one talisman. In a single night, the Mohists can use ingenious mechanisms to wall off an entire old city.

Two thousand years ago, the Hundred Schools signed the “Seclusion Pact” and disappeared into the shadows, renaming themselves “philosophical schools.” Ordinary people know nothing of their existence, and not a single word about them appears in the history books.

The Miscellaneous School was the last of the Hundred Schools.

It was also the only school whose founding doctrine and Daoist artifact were incomplete.

Ying Su had only a jade pendant: a fragment engraved with four characters.

But he discovered something...

He wasn’t the only one in the world searching for the Miscellaneous School’s Daoist artifact.

Some wanted his life, some wanted his inheritance, and some had been waiting for two thousand years.

Ying Su stood before them all.

“You’ve spent two thousand years plotting this. Did anyone bother to ask what I think?”
