The story takes place in "Yinlu".
Three hundred years ago, there was a catastrophe called "Tianqing" in the world. The mountains cracked, and "desolate breath" emerged from the ground that could corrode flesh, blood, and sanity. The ancestors used twelve Zhenyue cities to seal the cracks, so that the human world could continue.
Three hundred years later, the old dynasty declined and Zhenyue City was lost one after another. The imperial court, aristocratic families, Wuzong, border troops, merchant alliances and wasteland tribes are all competing for the "Earth Essence" that can suppress Huangxi.
