A nine-year-old boy, Zhou Ren, carries an oracle bone with the word "dream" in it, and is deprived of half of his name by the Mianshi. In order to save his second uncle who has been missing for seven years and protect the Zhou family village that is about to fall into the barren mountains, he inherits the title of "Zhou Shoumen" and takes a black bird that owes him nine kilograms of meat.
