Chen Ye is a ghost-hunting anchor who attracts fans by fabricating supernatural content. He has never believed in ghosts and gods. During an outdoor live broadcast, he ran into Su Wan, a female ghost who died unjustly. The two reached a cooperation and relied on clues in the live broadcast room to jointly solve a series of mysterious and murderous cases.
The daily live broadcast is full of hilarious contrasts. People pretend to be gods and ghosts to deceive barrages, and privately complain to the audience about the female ghost. The daily comedy is paired with the thrilling investigation. Accompanying each other day and night, Chen Fan and Su Wan fell in love with each other, possessing the warmth that belongs only to humans and ghosts.
The peace could not last. The orthodox Taoism regarded Su Wan as a disaster and used the power of heaven to disperse her entire soul. Chen Fan, who lost his obsession, completely abandoned his fame and fortune, studied Yin and Yang magic from scratch, broke into forbidden areas, Dou Dao gates, and reincarnations against the heavens, exhausted all means to track down the disappeared souls, and started a journey across Yin and Yang to find friends.
