My Scumbag Dad Marries a Stepmom? The Little Darling Calls Mom Back to Deal with Them

In the 1990s, five-year-old Tangtang was awarded to her father.

Her scumbag dad promptly married a fake heiress and moved into a grand Western-style house. Tangtang, meanwhile, had to eat cold leftovers and sleep in a storage room, all while being called a burden.

Sweet-tongued and quick-witted, Tangtang clutched an old letter and ran to the post office. Standing on a stool, she dialed the long-distance number for a clothing factory in the south.

One simple plea, “I want my mom,” sent Shen Nanqiao rushing back to the city overnight on a slow green train.

Everyone thought she was a down-and-out divorcee. Who knew she had built a business from nothing, secured orders for a clothing factory and department store, and was the true heiress of the Shen family?

The mother and daughter reunite to win back custody, cut off supplies, and expose the fake heiress.

The fake heiress puts on a tearful act in public. Clutching an enamel mug, Tangtang twists the knife: “Auntie, your dress is a reject from my mom’s factory!”

Outside the courthouse, her scumbag dad gets down on his knees and begs to get back together.

Shen Nanqiao opens the old ledger. “Don’t rush. This is just the first account.”
