In the Name of the People: Reborn and Still Losing? I'll Make Them Show Their Cards

A Twin Rebirth Chess Game: One game of chess, two people reborn. Guys, can you believe it? The System is giving out free gifts, heaven is practically feeding me, and I, Sha Shujiji, am the lucky recipient! You know what being reborn means, right? It's the standard cheat code in novels, the calling card of anyone who transmigrates, a VIP pass to defy fate and change your destiny! But the moment I get to Handong, no, hang on, brother, this isn't how the script was supposed to go! I'm still following my past life's walkthrough to clear the levels, while you've gone and dropped a whole new DLC on me? Why does my rebirth script have a hidden clause that says my rival gets reborn too? Is rebirth some kind of group-buy deal these days? Two people sign up, one gets in free? Or is the System running a buy-one-get-one promotion, and I'm the freebie? Wait, something's wrong with this hand! I demand to see the cards! Gao Zhiwu, hold it right there. Let's compare our rebirth timelines first. Which chapter did you come back in? Did you secretly exploit a System bug? Did you top up your account behind my back? Answer me. Look in my eyes! Is my golden finger a real cheat or just a cosmetic skin? Between Gao Zhiwu and me, which one of us is the person the System has actually set up to understand what's going on? Could it be that I'm not the protagonist at all, just an NPC in Gao Zhiwu's rebirth script, whose job is to act surprised, get dragged into the rat race, and provide reaction memes whenever he's got everything under control?
