Raising an Ancestor: Building a Thousand-Year Clan from the Feast at Hong Gate

Also known as: One Hundred Ways to Die Thanks to My Ancestors; When Games Spill into Reality, the Text Game I Played Came True

One day, game-review blogger Yang Song found a rogue text-based game on his phone that he couldn't uninstall: the Ancestor-Raising System.

There were no preset options. He could control his Qin-era ancestor Yang Kui simply by typing. Hoping to make his livestream entertaining, Yang Song went wild, coming up with all sorts of ways to screw over his ancestor.

He had Yang Kui charge into battle shouting that he'd kill Xiang Yu, only to get taken out with a single blow. He livestreamed himself begging the Conqueror for a follow, then got slapped flying.

He secretly poisoned people, launched sneak attacks, and betrayed his lord in public, unlocking over a hundred ridiculous ways for his ancestor to die.

After getting his ancestor killed a hundred times over, Yang Song finally saw the light: no more suicidal stunts. He'd focus on political scheming and faked self-sacrifice!

During the escape from the Feast at Hongmen, he directed Yang Kui to stage an assassination attempt. Covered in fake blood, Yang Kui risked his life to protect Liu Bang, earning the future founder's absolute trust and laying the Yang clan's first foundation for the next thousand years!

As the livestream went viral, strange things began to happen one after another. Someone in the comments claimed that the history books mentioned a foot soldier named Yang Kui at the Feast at Hongmen, and an ancient notebook turned up in the family warehouse...

It turned out this simulator wasn't a virtual game. The history he controlled was the true history of his own family!

Others spent their whole lives striving just to make ends meet. With the simulator in hand, Yang Song could guide generations of ancestors as they paved the way, building a top-tier clan from nothing that would endure for a thousand years!
