Lin Yuanzhou inherited a script murder mystery shop on the verge of closing and found a USB drive under the cash register. The moment he plugged it into a computer, the screen went black, and a line of text appeared: "Welcome back, Rule Observer No. 7."
Each of the shop's six themed rooms corresponded to a real, long-buried unsolved case. On the first night he entered "The Secluded Island House," the door locked by itself, and the first rule appeared on the wall: After dark, do not look directly into a mirror.
Every prop corpse he found was a real missing person. Every rule he solved pointed to the death of the previous observer.
