[Dual female leads + equally strong leads + chaste + seductive guidance + relentless pursuit + distinctive scent + sharp tongue + tomato and egg stir-fry + infinite-flow instances + ensemble cast]
Qi Ye is a fairly well-known captain of an infinite-flow team. Proud, scheming, sharp-tongued but soft-hearted, she and her teammates thrive in the instances. Then she meets Wen Juan, a strikingly beautiful blonde who seems harmless, yet always “happens” to appear at her side at critical moments.
Qi Ye’s first impression of Wen Juan is terrible: too beautiful, too casual, and far too much like she’s on vacation. Suspicion, distrust, and a faint dislike make her raise every defense against this woman of “unknown origins.”
Then, in a high-difficulty instance, the team is pushed to the brink. Standing in the center of the formation, Wen Juan asks nonchalantly, “Want me to help? In exchange, let me join your team.”
Qi Ye grits her teeth and says, “Fine.”
From then on, Wen Juan becomes the most unusual member of Qi Ye’s team. She’s absurdly powerful in the instances, yet extraordinarily lazy, and only ever steps in when it’s “conveniently useful” to Qi Ye. The rest of the time, she’s like a lazy golden cat, always finding some excuse to tease Qi Ye: smiling a little too brightly as she hands her water, deliberately brushing past her ear to speak during a fight, or casually asking in front of the boss, “Your ears are red. Is the instance too hot, or am I... standing too close?”
Qi Ye goes from “Stay away from me” to “Don’t do that in front of the boss,” and finally to “...Whatever,” as Wen Juan gradually wears down every one of her defenses.
What Qi Ye doesn’t know is that Wen Juan came for her from the very beginning.
