Global High Martial: My Black Bug Martial Soul Can Evolve

At eighteen, everyone awakens a martial soul.

Some awaken an S-rank Sky Halberd, others an A-rank Greenwood.

Chen Yuan awakens an F-rank black bug.

It’s no bigger than a fingernail, and it doesn’t even have a name in the bestiary.

Everyone says his martial soul is useless, and his path in martial arts is over.

But this bug can eat.

It eats the essence of alien beasts, unwanted scraps, and anything that contains primordial power.

With every bite the bug takes, Chen Yuan grows stronger.

While others burn money and resources to cultivate, he scavenges scraps at the materials depot and eats his way into the top ranks of his year.

Those who laughed at him on Awakening Day now steer clear of him.

From the scrap heap to the national martial arts exam:

No one expects anything of him, but he’s determined to come back with first place.

It’s just that he’s slowly realizing the things this bug eats are getting stranger and stranger.

Some things simply aren’t meant to be eaten by a martial soul.
