Burying the Dao in the Mortal World

An immortal envoy arrives, and the entire village of Qingshi Town is to be hauled off to the Blackstone mines and enslaved.

Qin Yuan, a worthless man born without a spiritual root, is the first to be named for purification.

At the brink of despair, the barrier sealed for seventeen years shatters, and a rusty, broken sword awakens with a gray glow.

He cultivates no spiritual energy and worships no gods. Instead, he uses the everyday warmth of human life as kindling and mortal emotions as flame, forging a mortal body capable of burning the Heavenly Dao!

Deep in the Burial Ruins, he draws the Heaven-Burying Sword. The Returning-to-Void markings stir on his left hand, sending all things back to the void and returning the Heavenly Dao to primordial chaos.

Immortal cultivators curse him for practicing demonic arts. The Heavenly Dao sends down tribulation lightning to destroy him, and the false immortals of the heavens all regard him as a common enemy.

So what?

Wherever he goes, false immortals grovel, the Great Dao crumbles, ancient locust trees sprout, and flowers bloom from withered bones.

“My sword is made to slay beasts like you, who have forgotten you’re human yet presume to become gods!”
