Raising Beast-Eared Girls in a Fantasy World

This is a fantasy world where humans and beastkin coexist. Beastkin are marked by features such as animal ears and tails. They are naturally attuned to the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, and cultivate far faster than humans. A thousand years ago, however, humans developed the Spirit Pact Technique. By forming a contract, they could transfer some of a beastkin's cultivation gains to themselves. From then on, beastkin became enslaved, and high-ranking cultivators began to treat owning an animal-eared maid as a status symbol.

The protagonist, Lin Xuan, transmigrates into this world and discovers that nine ancient beastkin marks lie dormant within him. Whenever he is on the verge of death or overcome by powerful emotions, one of the marks awakens and summons an animal-eared girl. Here's the catch: each of these girls was once a formidable powerhouse who dominated the ancient world. Now, sealed inside the marks and asleep for millennia, they awaken with barely a tenth of their former strength and must rely on the protagonist's spiritual energy to slowly recover. So while powerful figures from every side hunt him down, hoping to claim the ancient beastkin marks, the protagonist flees for his life with a group of animal-eared girls who were once mighty but are now weaklings, growing stronger along the way.
