The Retired Demon Venerable’s Lie-Flat Life

[How to Break Up with Yourself on Good Terms: I Don't Want to Show Off, but the System Won't Let Me]

The Nine Nether Demon Venerable, Li Qianjie, died and came back to life.

In this life, he has just eight words' worth of plans: grow flowers, raise cats, and bask in the sun.

Unfortunately, the System he's bound to has only one KPI this time around: force him to show off.

And so:

He wants to quietly stand guard, but ends up slaying a Golden Core demon beast with one sword strike.

He wants to retire in peace, but the whole sect insists he become their honored protector.

He wants to refuse every challenge, but the System says: [Host, if you keep this up, this System is going to get depressed.]

"I just want to retire."

[Your former life's reputation won't allow it.]
