Li Chengqian, the Tang Dynasty’s Number One Playboy

Transmigrating to the Tang Dynasty, he becomes Li Chengqian, the crown prince destined to rebel and die a miserable death!

Knowing his fate is already set, he decisively gives up trying! If he can make his reputation bad enough to be legally deposed, he can live it up as a carefree prince with more wealth than he could ever spend.

To save his life, he turns to Emperor Gaozu Li Yuan for support. The grandfather and grandson play cards and listen to music together, using “filial piety” to fire back at Li Shimin.

To ruin his reputation, he spends a fortune building the greatest brothel in Pingkang Ward, only to accidentally create a shadow network that spans the entire empire!

To indulge himself, he pursues all sorts of ingenious inventions and creates gunpowder, then blows the Turkic cavalry to smithereens with a single blast!

To squander his money, he gets involved in business, but ends up draining the wealth of the Five Great Clans and Seven Noble Houses, leaving the Tang treasury piled high with cash!

He thought he’d be deposed without a hitch, but all the officials in court are suddenly fired up: “The Crown Prince has endured humiliation and hardship. He has the makings of an emperor for the ages! We petition His Highness to govern in the emperor’s stead!”

One day, Li Shimin sees the Divine Machine Battalion and a treasury richer than any nation in the Eastern Palace. In a panic, he weeps bitterly: “You rebellious brat! You’ve secretly taken control of the entire Tang Dynasty. Please, just ascend the throne already!”

Li Chengqian breaks down: “Dad, don’t do this to me! I really just want to be a useless crown prince!”
