Great Tang: An Infinite Warehouse, and Li Er Begs Me to Marry Changle

[Lighthearted comedy + food and farming + devoted romance with one heroine + infrastructure building in the Tang Dynasty]

After transmigrating to the first year of the Zhenguan era, Xie Hongyuan became the head of the Xie family estate in Chang'an County.

On a snowy day, he was cooking hot pot in beef tallow, muttering, “I bet Li Er of this Tang Dynasty has never even tried my hot pot.”

The very next day, a traveling merchant calling himself “Old Li” knocked on the estate gates. A dark-faced, burly man and a scholar who loved taking notes followed behind him.

Old Li spent half an hour studying the flush toilet, while Brother Cheng choked on his cola and coughed nonstop.

Xie Hongyuan brought out watermelon, strawberries, and blueberries, then pulled out potato chips, fish tofu, and spicy konjac snacks.

Everyone ate until their mouths glistened with grease. Brother Cheng wiped his mouth and asked, “Lord Xie, what exactly do you do?”

Xie Hongyuan took a sip of fruit wine and said, “I’m an immortal reborn. I know everything about this Tang Dynasty. For example, your Emperor Li Er likes to cry whenever he has nothing better to do. You didn’t know that, did you?”

Old Li’s face darkened on the spot.

Years later, Li Shimin sat in the Taiji Palace, listening to Xie Hongyuan spout one outrageous story after another. He gritted his teeth and muttered, “Why didn’t I sew that man’s mouth shut back then?”
