Sweet tension from start to finish + face-slapping catharsis + fated redemption
Let's start with the conclusion: never empathize with an overworked office drone on a whim. It really can get you killed!
The good news: President Shen, the living King of Hell who had been unable to feel anything for fifteen years, has finally regained his senses!
The bad news: his senses are now connected to someone else, an intern who's always on the verge of tears whenever she gets pushed around!
This forced empathic connection has become the biggest headache of Shen Jici's life!
Jiang Li is publicly given a hard time by her team leader, biting her lip as she desperately holds back tears.
At a meeting with a hundred attendees, Shen Jici suffers a heart attack, his eyes turning bloodshot.
The result: the other party is so frightened that they immediately signs off on the billion-dollar merger and backs down!
The executives are horrified: "The living King of Hell has bloodshot eyes! Run for your lives!"
Jiang Li goes to the top floor to deliver some documents, trembling with fear, her heart pounding.
Just as Shen Jici is about to give her a stern dressing-down, he suddenly struggles to breathe and his legs go weak.
The result: the haughty CEO is forced to lean against the wall, gasping for breath!
Jiang Li, puzzled: "President Shen, are... are you impotent?"
From then on, Shen Jici can no longer be cold and ruthless.
Wait, she's the one who's afraid of getting chewed out. Why are my legs going weak?!
