[🏎️ F1 Racing + Enemies to Lovers ❤️ + Two Strong Leads + A Secret Crush Comes True + Mutual Pining + Happy Ending]
I've had a crush on a girl for years.
She's beautiful, smart, practically perfect. Her one flaw is that...
She's a shipper of me and my nemesis.
And she's really, genuinely invested in it.
I take pole position, and she says, “Did you notice? You were the first person he looked at.”
He and I argue at the post-race press conference, and she says, “The best kind of ship is one where they love and fight each other.”
I force that bastard off the track, and she covers her mouth. “He totally let you do that on purpose!”
I can't take it anymore. “Who do you actually like?”
She looks at me and falls silent for two seconds.
Then she asks cautiously:
“...When are you two going to make it official?”
Me: “?”
You've got to be kidding me.
That guy and I have been rivals since junior racing, fighting over pole positions, podiums, and the championship title. We can have three arguments in five minutes.
Everyone in the paddock knows we're sworn enemies.
I've always thought so too.
Until one day, I happened to see the man who never once gave me an inch being asked in an interview:
“If you could choose only one driver to be your teammate, who would it be?”
He didn't even hesitate.
He said my name.
In that moment, I suddenly remembered all the things I'd overlooked over the years.
And some secrets had been hidden for so long that even I, who always thought myself clever, was the last to find out.
[Content warnings] The protagonist really does have a crush on a girl at first, and his feelings change gradually; the racing setting is a lightly fictionalized version of the real world; the main couple gets a happy ending. The secondary couple is also a power couple, but their relationship is more intense and somewhat unhealthy.
It is indeed a new book. When you look at it, you can only see the main text. The writing is not that amazing, but it is very comfortable to read. The setting (in my opinion) is one that is rarely seen on 🍅. The psychology of the characters gave me a long-running impression, and it rarely made me feel that some plots were not so embarrassing. It's so good to love without knowing it and to hide love in your heart. The plot hasn't advanced much at the moment, and I can't see much follow-up development. (Maybe I'm out of my mind) All in all, as long as the plot doesn't break down, it's definitely a good book. Waiting for the update, come on, author!
