Don't Save Me, and Keep the Neighboring KPI Off My Back

Wen Yao now lives by one principle: take everything in stride.

Her family has drifted apart, she is all alone, and rumors follow her everywhere. She has little reason left to keep living. Her favorite thing to do is shut herself away from the world, and snap at anyone who comes near.

But Wen Yao never imagined that someone would try to save an ordinary person like her. Fine, save her, but shouldn't that mean giving her money and affection? Why make her study? She's completely falling apart.

Cheng Yihuai never expected to be bound to a rescue System.

The System says Wen Yao is world-weary and mentally ill, and that he must save her.

Cheng Yihuai: As I thought, I'm the chosen one. Leave this glorious task to me!

It wasn't until Wen Yao's deepest pain was laid bare before him that Cheng Yihuai understood just how much she had suffered.

It's okay. I'll always be right here behind you, forever!
