Rules of the Strange: The Former Ace Investigator Returns to the Fray

Ten years ago, “Shadowless,” a top-tier rules investigator, vanished after “The Silent Night,” the last of the strange tales. His files were erased, leaving behind only rumors. Ten years later, he has become delivery rider Qin Chuan and wants nothing more than to complete his deliveries, pay off his debts, and live a quiet life. Then, one night, he receives an order to deliver takeout to “the 19th floor” of an office building with only eighteen floors. The delivery note reads: “If you can see this message, it means you’re awake too. The 19th floor. I’ll be waiting.”
