Su Nian (divination analyst/research specialist), age 26. She can make deductions without casting a divination. Though unable to cast one herself, she can analyze existing divination records and ancient texts to deduce the "hidden chain of karmic causes" behind an event.
Chi Yan (sealing master/formation master), age 27. Using the directions of the Eight Trigrams and Five Elements talismans, he constructs "divination-sealing formations" to physically stop anomalous divinations from spreading.
Jiang Yao (sensate), age 24. Specialty: an extremely rare ability to "sense divinations." By touching objects connected to an event, she can "see" fragments of emotion left behind when the divination occurred.
Wei Xuan (field operative/tracker), age 29. He tracks without divination. Relying on no form of fortune-telling, he uses investigation, counter-surveillance, and martial arts to survey scenes and identify targets.
Lu Zhiwei (doctor/treatment for divination injuries), age 31. She treats "karmic injuries" caused by the backlash of divinations. These are not physical wounds, but "symptoms" that appear when a person's fate is distorted.
Gu Xilai (archivist/guardian), age unknown. He keeps all the "unsolvable divination cases." He personally seals each file in a black sandalwood box, drawing a "divination-sealing talisman" on the outside with cinnabar.
