[Sweet Romance] [Romantic Comedy] [One Female Lead]
On the day she loses her job, Qiao Zhi blurts out that she already has a boyfriend to dodge the blind date her mother has arranged.
As luck would have it, the camera swings around and lands on Zhou Jiming, the lawyer who lives across the hall and whom she has known for less than a minute.
The next day, they sign a “Thirty-Day Fake Relationship Agreement”: play along when necessary, don’t interfere in each other’s lives, and whoever falls first has to say so.
Qiao Zhi thinks it’s foolproof.
Until Zhou Jiming helps her claim the severance pay she’s owed, tilts his umbrella to shield her, remembers she doesn’t drink sweet soy milk, and calmly admits:
“There is a slight possessive streak, but it does not currently affect our agreement.”
Thirty days later, their fake relationship ends as scheduled.
But Zhou Jiming produces another document. “The old agreement has been filed away. Now, let’s talk about a real relationship.”
This is a story that begins with opening the wrong door. Two ordinary, imperfect people learn, amid unemployment, work, long-distance living, and the daily grind, to turn flawed arguments into honest feelings, and three meters of distance into a long future together.
