Yao Yue, a ten-thousand-year-old fox spirit, the top-ranked powerhouse on the mission leaderboard, and now retired, received a plea for help from the Mission Department. She decided to return to the world, bound herself to a beginner System, and set off for mission worlds to complete her assignments.
World One: A groveling chase for his wife? Burn it all down!
The deranged male lead offered up his soul, asking only that the heroine whose life he had ruined let go of her hatred and fall in love with him.
While everyone else dutifully followed the groveling-chase script, Yao Yue directly overturned cause and effect.
Redemption? Indulging him? Asking the victim to suffer in silence? Not happening.
She gave the heroine a new life and sent the obsessed madman plummeting into eternal hell.
World Two: Ongoing
