Little Sis, Quit Pretending. We're Both Evil Spirits from the Nine Hells

[Demonic Ghost Siblings, Dramatic Schemes, Cunning Troublemakers, Hilarious Feel-Good Story]

Lu Mao and Lu Wan, two thousand-year-old evil ghosts who crawled up from hell, have come to the mortal realm to earn merit.

As planned, they publicly fall out and sever ties, putting on a grand show of a brother and sister turning against each other.

They mean to use the ensuing commotion to draw out the mastermind hiding in the shadows, the one gathering cultivators who collect baleful bones.

Thanks for asking. They might as well have a little fun first.

An underground competition no one knows about begins:

Lu Mao: [Set up underworld traps along the road, sending prodigies sprawling into the mud. Reward: advance the soul mark!]

Lu Wan: [Let emotions seep out and stir up suspicion, then watch a group of cultivators turn on and beat each other. Unlock a new ability for the Source of Life!]

Lu Wan: Big bro, how many suckers did you trick today? I've already lured eight teams into a mess.

Lu Mao: Only twenty-odd teams? You're fishing a bit slowly.

The prodigies: Why did I suddenly fall for no reason? There must be an assassination formation hidden here!

I didn't want to fight! Why can't I stop myself from wanting to beat him up!

The mastermind: I've carefully prepared a deadly trap, waiting to stir up trouble and gather my people.

And these two have turned the trial grounds into an amusement park for fools? Could you show my scheme a little respect!
