About My Becoming the Son of Heaven

My name is Tian Jingning, second son of the Prince of Weihai.

My grandfather raised an army, staged a coup, and seized the realm. My father was his eldest son, and my uncle his second son, but in the end, the throne went to my aunt.

My aunt is gravely ill. An imperial decree, annotated and sealed by the cabinet's state councilors, has arrived from the capital.

It has bypassed my father, my uncle, and my elder brother, and dropped the throne right onto my head.

Is this a carefully laid scheme by the cabinet? Or my aunt's final hidden stratagem?

I don't know.

All I know is that I am about to become the Son of Heaven.

(Fantasy world + unapologetically wish-fulfillment fiction.) (The government system has been altered and differs from the real one, so there's no need to nitpick.)
