[Sweet romance] + [Both fall in love at first sight] + [Obsessive love] + [Both sexually inexperienced] + [They keep making exceptions for love, then falling for each other]
An overbearing, obsessive CEO who’s hell-bent on failing his KPIs versus a sweet, attention-starved heroine who’s determined to marry up.
(Obsessive characters should fall for heroines who are just as crazily devoted to them.)
Ye Qiyuan has all the classic makings of a tragic romance heroine: a family that favors sons over daughters, a father who doesn’t care for her, a mother who doesn’t love her, and a little brother treated like the family’s pride and joy. She’s a poor, resilient little cabbage about to be handed over to settle a debt.
But her personality is more like that of a scheming supporting female character. She’s greedy, lustful, desperate for love, and full of little tricks.
When she’s drugged and sent off to settle the debt, but hasn’t yet seen the male lead, Ye Qiyuan thinks: “How annoying. I want to get out of here. I couldn’t care less.”
The moment she sees him, Ye Qiyuan thinks: “Aaaaaah! He’s exactly my type! I love him so much, so much, so much! I’m going to crawl around in a crazed frenzy!”
Meanwhile, before seeing a photo of the heroine, Mr. Pei thinks: “What a nuisance. She’s beneath me. I couldn’t care less.”
After seeing her photo, Mr. Pei thinks: “The family of the woman I fell in love with at first sight is being beaten up by my men. What should I do? Anyone there? This is urgent.”
Another version: Ye Qiyuan has recently been dreaming that the man she likes is forcing himself on her. She’s desperate for love, a hopeless romantic, and she likes this kind of dream.
Ye Qiyuan: “Wait, why do I know I’m dreaming?”
“Wait, why can’t I stop myself from slapping the man I like?”
“And wait, why can’t I say that I love Mr. Pei?!”
P.S.
Lots of inner thoughts from both the male and female leads!
Both leads have an extreme case of love-at-first-sight syndrome (author’s own setting).
