The Superpower Unit: Team X

[Different Power Teams + Ensemble Cast + No Romance + Funny and Lighthearted + No Excessive Saintliness + Bizarre Monsters]

(The early chapters focus on the characters; the later chapters focus on the plot.)

The Xth Team of the Anomaly Response Bureau has a 100% mission success rate, ranks second nationwide overall and first in its region, and consists of five members.

The Xth Team is the Bureau's trusted squad, yet every member is a major headache:

Team Leader Liu Jianqing, a fire ability user with a high-threat rating who loves barbecue.

Deputy Leader Mu Xiaodong, an illusion ability user and powerful psychic who loves milk tea.

Member Li Ming, a mind-control ability user, teleportation-array expert, and always the first to join a fight.

Member Xie Ying, an ability user who binds souls with silk threads and the team leader's favorite late-night snack companion.

Member Qing Hehuan, a precognitive whose former career as a fortune-teller got her called a fraud. She defies fate.

The X Team's routine is to take missions, fight monsters, write reports, and have a barbecue when the job is done.

After a member of the nationwide top-ranked A Team is assigned here, they always look at the X Team with an indescribable expression.

Envy? Disdain? Maybe they're just hungry.

"What do you mean, use cooked glutinous rice to fight zombies?" The Bureau director silently weeps over the glutinous rice stolen from his office.

Qing Hehuan: But it really works!

"Boss, are we really not going to get beaten to death for using missions as an excuse to eat barbecue?"

"Even if we die, we can't die hungry. Let's eat first."
