I Transmigrated into a Haunting, and I Can See the Boss’s Health Bar

[Soulslike game] [Rules-based horror where you can see the boss’s health bar] + [Max-level character from the start] + [A parry expert who only wants to fight bosses]

Lorne was originally a max-level character in the soulslike game Throne of the Eternal Night.

After fighting his way through seven cycles, the world collapsed.

When he opened his eyes again, Lorne found himself on Blue Star, a world where supernatural horrors had returned. He still had his maxed-out stats, character inventory, and the ability to resurrect at bonfires.

When people here face the supernatural, all they can do is find the rules, memorize the rules, and pray they do not trigger them.

But what Lorne sees is completely different.

[Midnight Ticket Inspector]

[Boss Level: 12]

[Current Phase: Phase One]

[Status: Protected by the rules. Cannot currently take effective damage]

[Parryable Move: Death Ticket Check]

[Kill Drops: Crimson Ticket, Ticket Punch]

Looking at the terrifying entity that had left an entire city helpless, Lorne slowly raised his shield.

“It has a health bar.”

“I can parry it.”

“And it drops gear when I kill it.”

“How is this not easy?”

Red-Dressed Wraith: “Anyone who sees my face dies instantly... Wait, why are you staring at my hands?”

Forbidden Zone Investigator: “Whatever you do, don’t trigger the third rule!”

Lorne: “How else am I supposed to figure out the wind-up for its attack?”

Forbidden Zone Administration: “The target may be a humanoid natural disaster! Evacuate everyone nearby immediately!”

As everyone braced for the worst, Lorne sharpened his longsword again.

“Relax.”

“It’s just entering phase two.”
