The Blazing Sun Never Sets

[Show-off peacock and scheming puppy x Naturally absent-minded, slow-to-warm girl]

[Sweet school romance x Secret crush x Two top students x Ensemble cast x Sugary romance]

Chen Jinzhi, the top student in her grade at Luozhong, is an icy beauty.

All her classmates think she’s like a little hedgehog, prickly all over.

Only Xu Siyan, who sits behind her, sees her differently.

He thinks she’s a ragdoll cat.

To get closer to her, he reins in his sharp edges and acts obedient, wagging his tail every day. “Teacher Xiaozhi, could you teach me this?”

“I got here first. I don’t want to give my seat up to anyone else.”

“Could you consider me for your next deskmate?”

At first, Chen Jinzhi thinks his unruly behavior is just part of his personality.

Then, during a school trip, she comes down with a fever. Xu Siyan deliberately pretends to be sick so he can stay behind and take care of her.

Flustered by his special attention, she says, “I don’t like troubling other people.”

He answers with complete conviction, “That’s why I don’t want to be ‘other people.’”

At last, she realizes he isn’t incapable of behaving himself.

He’s only pretending to be good.

So the aloof science genius who’s cool around everyone else acts cute, sweet-talks her, and plays obedient whenever he’s with her.

On her eighteenth birthday, Chen Jinzhi feels truly happy.

She says, “I’ve found my summer, and I’ve found my blazing sun.”

The master of playing nice replies, “I promise that your blazing sun will be there for every summer of your life.”

The blazing sun shines down, just for Jinzhi.
