Deep inside a forbidden zone of the uncanny, where countless people entered and never returned, stood a department store with bizarre rules.
It sold unusual items that could cure uncanny poison and ward off curses. The shopkeeper always stood behind the counter, a strangely shaped crescent scythe resting at his side. His expression was cold, and he never said much to his customers.
The shop had two ironclad rules:
One: All prices are fixed, and no credit is allowed. Those who cannot afford to pay may wager against the shopkeeper. Win, and your purchase is free. Lose, and you stay.
Two: No fighting inside the shop. Anyone who dares attack will have every blow reflected back at them, tearing their very soul apart.
No one knew the shopkeeper's true nature. They only knew that he had an almost immortal body and was exceptionally skilled at spotting an opponent's weakness in a fight, turning their own methods against them and ending every enemy with the most devastating counterattack.
Even fewer knew where the customers who lost their wagers ultimately went.
Only the indistinct shadows swaying on the shelves late at night silently told the cruel truth about this eerie shop.
“Customers are kindly asked to follow the shop rules.” Behind the counter, Qiu's dark golden eyes curved slightly at the corners, making one's blood run cold.
Let me fly!
New book sets sail!
It could use polishing, but it's well written.
