Synopsis
Lin Xiaoman tells fortunes at a street stall for 9.9 yuan. Her main job is writing web novels that flop; her side jobs are ghost-hunting and corpse-catching. She's sweet-tongued and thick-skinned, and her greatest talent is chasing after Que Beichen.
Que Beichen, CEO of the Que Group, is known as Master Que. He's so cold even AI screens freeze around him, and he hates charlatans more than anything.
Yet this charlatan accurately predicts that love is in his stars, where his long-lost younger brother is, and every disaster that will befall him.
Wherever he goes, she follows. The colder he acts, the more brightly she smiles.
Before long, everyone in their circle knows that the living King of Hell, who casually orders people to "have their tongues cut out," always has a young woman with her hair in a bun trailing behind him.
If anyone so much as touches a hair on her head, Que Beichen will bankrupt their entire family the next day.
Someone asks, "Didn't you say you hated charlatans?"
Que Beichen sneers. "She's the one deceiving me. I'll protect her. What's the problem?"
