In the thirty-sixth year of Kangxi's reign, there was a severe drought in Hunan. Farmer Tang Qishan knelt down to bid farewell to his father's grave, picked up his ancestral mulberry wood pole, and embarked on the long road of "Huguang fills Sichuan" with his wife and children. He didn't know where Sichuan was. He only knew that if he didn't leave, his whole family would starve to death.
After trekking for three thousand miles, he was driven out of the city by the wealthy people of Chengdu Prefecture, and finally settled in an uncared-for wild ditch in Yingshan County. He carved the three words "Tangjiagou" on the stone wall - from then on, a ditch, a tree and a family became the starting point of a family for three hundred years.
In the past three hundred years, the descendants of the Tang family were scattered all over the world. The eldest room guards the land, the second room goes to the desk, and the third room runs towards the river. Some people came out of Sichuan to resist the Japanese, and their bodies were wrapped in horse leather; some people raised their arms and shouted from the towers of the road protection movement and fled to the end of the world; some people hid family plaques in tree holes during the movement, gritting their teeth and waiting for a tomorrow that they didn't know would come.
Three hundred years later, programmers in Shenzhen quit their million-dollar annual salary and returned to Tangjiagou. Girls born after 2000 who made short videos spread the video of Huang Geshu all over the Internet. They found the plaque that had been hidden for sixty years in a tree hole and built a "digital family tree" on their mobile phones - on the other side of the screen, descendants of the Tang family sent messages from all over the world: I am in the United States, I am in Thailand, I am in Hunan, and we have never left.
It takes courage for a person to go out; it takes three hundred years for a family to come back.
