I haven't watched Conan specifically, but I like Belmode very much. The front part of the novel is really super sweet, and I indulged in their sweetness. Suddenly, there was a turning point, and I really couldn't control my tears. I was looking forward to Belmode's pursuit of his wife at the crematorium, and the subsequent plot. In the end, I just begged for more.
