Western Fantasy: The Black Dragon Sealed for Ten Thousand Years Only Wants to Farm

[Farming] [Slow burn] [Western fantasy] [Multiple races] [No System] [Conquest] [Lighthearted and funny at first]

After transmigrating to a Western fantasy world, a corporate wage slave woke up to find himself transformed into Nidhogg, the ancient Black Dragon progenitor who had been sealed away for ten thousand years!

He had once been the foremost of the three primordial overlords born from the World Tree. Alongside his brothers, the Demon Wolf and the Sea Serpent, he should have roamed the world and ruled over every race.

Instead, from the start, he landed in hell!

His body was shattered, his dragon soul incomplete, and he was locked away in the Abyss of Return. His pockets were empty, and his only subordinate was a timid, good-for-nothing Shadow Wyrmling who turned invisible whenever trouble came along.

Even worse, this world was completely rotten!

The Church of Revelation rewrote history, slandering the ancient guardian dragons as agents of chaos;

Corrupt nobles schemed against one another, while theocracy crushed royal authority;

Humans, elves, and dwarves slaughtered one another out of mutual suspicion;

And even the mad whispers of Cthulhu, an Old One beneath the deep sea, were quietly corrupting the entire continent!

Fine! So this is how you treat the progenitor?

This mighty Black Dragon of Destruction was done with apocalypse!

While other demon gods awakened to lay waste to the world, I was all about honest farming and building a business from the ground up!

The dragon hatchling is timid? I'll raise it myself, step by step!

The territory is poor? We'll mine, build infrastructure, and work ourselves to the bone!

Refugees are homeless? We'll take them all in and distribute work fairly!

The Church calls for a dragon hunt? Then let's expose its thousand-year-old theocratic fraud and bring it down!

Empress Fan Luolun: This Black Dragon... why does he only know how to build irrigation canals and stockpile grain?

Fenrir: My big brother once destroyed heaven and earth. Now he's keeping the books?

Jormungandr: Times have changed. Even the progenitor is settling down?

Cthulhu: ??? This isn't the apocalyptic Black Dragon I imagined!
