Siheyuan: A Double PhD Who Crushes Every Beast in the Courtyard

A double PhD from MIT, he breaks through every obstacle in 1950 and returns to his homeland with a mind full of top-tier industrial knowledge.

But as soon as he settles into the courtyard on Nanluoguxiang, he finds himself caught in the neighbors’ schemes.

Jia Dongxu envies his house, Yi Zhonghai uses neighborly cooperation to guilt-trip him, and Yan Bugui tries to ingratiate himself with half a jin of peanuts so he can take advantage of him?

Lin Bei chuckles. “My knowledge belongs to the nation, and my supplies belong to me. You pack of scoundrels won’t get a thing!”

He activates the [Great Nation Craftsman System]. As long as he takes part in building the country, everything from pork and white flour to bicycles and radios is his for the asking!

You’re throwing your weight around in the workshop because you’re an old hand? I’ll improve the equipment and strip you of the authority that comes with being an eighth-grade worker, leaving you with nothing but odd jobs!

You’re bullying people in the courtyard by throwing your weight around? I’m an honored guest of leaders from the Ministry of Heavy Industry and the military. One title is enough to make you hold your head down!

By the time Lin Bei rises from steel mill consultant to commander-in-chief of the nation’s “Number One Project,”

the courtyard’s pack of scoundrels finally understands that they’ve provoked a peerless patriot whom even the nation must protect as a national treasure!
