The gods have fallen silent, and the world lies in ruin.
An ancient world is nearing its end. Disasters from beyond its borders invade without end, native factions have splintered, and despair hangs over every inch of the land like dark fog. The savior foretold in prophecy has yet to appear, leaving all living things to wait helplessly for the end.
Then the rifts opened, and consciousness projections from a higher-dimensional world poured into this doomed continent in great numbers.
They can resurrect without limit, ignore the rules of society, and throw every faction into chaos. They pillage and slaughter, conquer cities and expand their territory, turning the whole world upside down. The natives fear and hate them, seeing them as the fourth world-ending catastrophe and calling them the Fourth Disaster.
Everyone is convinced that these lunatics will crush everything that remains.
But fate has played a cruel joke.
The so-called savior does not come bearing a divine oracle from the temples, nor is it a chosen one. It is precisely the Fourth Disaster, the very name that strikes terror into the hearts of all.
They bring destruction, yet perform acts of salvation.
As the gods look on coldly and disaster closes in at every turn, these outsiders, dismissed as calamities, will cross the broken mountains and rivers, battle evil gods and a decaying old order, and take up the burden of saving the world amid the ruins.
The road to salvation is utterly absurd, and the struggle between life and death never ends. Will the world assimilate the disaster, or will the disaster reshape the world?
