Investigative reporter Su Xian disappeared mysteriously in an unused subway station.
Seven systems including surveillance, access control, payment, and base stations all proved that she had entered, but there was no record showing that she left. After her disappearance, her voice and account continued to appear, even predicting the failure of the city system in advance.
Electronic evidence auditor Liang Jianwei was commissioned to verify the case, but found that seven seemingly independent digital witnesses might just be repeating the testimony of the same clock. As the investigation deepens, a fire eight years ago, a convicted young man, and an evidence report signed by Liang Jianwei resurfaced.
When all records point to the same answer, what really needs to be questioned may be that too-perfect agreement.
