Blue Star’s population reaches 10 billion, triggering the selection trials for cosmic lords.
Those who succeed become lords, bringing Blue Star into the lord-world system and making its people citizens of the lord worlds.
If they fail, Blue Star will be reduced to a resource planet, where everything, including its intelligent species, becomes a resource.
One person in a hundred is chosen from across the globe to enter the selection space, with the process broadcast live worldwide.
Gu Xinghe, who runs a seed shop, is selected and awakens the talent to empower all living things.
One plant after another is empowered by Gu Xinghe, becoming a unique plant girl according to his wishes.
In trial after trial, Gu Xinghe clears every challenge with the plants he has empowered.
The rewards he sends back drive Longguo’s technology forward, leaving the rest of the world far behind.
Eventually, Gu Xinghe becomes a full-fledged lord, and Blue Star successfully advances to become his territory.
There, he resists the invasion of other worlds on the cosmic front lines.
