In the future, an assassination spanning twenty-five years triggers a global blockade of time and space. One by one, all gadgets that rely on the future network stop working, and Doraemon falls into a long slumber.
To awaken his most important friend, Nobita Nobi, who hates trouble, avoids responsibility, and always relies on gadgets, tries to study for the first time. It sets him on a path in life that has been pointed in the wrong direction from the very beginning.
Shizuka grows up by his side, while Nobita uses the limited gadgets that can still work offline, along with his own unreliable but always kind hands, to protect her childhood.
In time, he becomes a successful entrepreneur and spends his life with Shizuka, but he never manages to repair Doraemon. At the age of forty-eight, he leaves the world with that regret.
Two hundred years later, an aged Shizuka brings the consequences of everything they did in life to the final gap where time and space converge.
She cannot bring Nobita back, nor can she rewrite the life that has already been lived.
The only thing she can do is set the timeline that has already deviated as its endpoint:
Of all the countless possibilities in life, the one where you spend your life with me is the endpoint.
This is not a story about changing the past. It is a story about someone who keeps trying despite heading in the wrong direction, and ultimately lives the right life.
