The 33.60 Divorce Agreement

Three years into her marriage, Su Nian has become the laughingstock of the entire city.

Her husband, Lu Hanchen, is a rising star in business, generous to everyone, especially her stepsister. He transfers five hundred thousand yuan in spending money every month, showers her with one luxury gift after another, and treats her with a tenderness that makes him seem like a different person. But with Su Nian, his lawful wife, he calculates even the cost of a bowl of plain congee down to the last cent and insists they split it evenly.

She thinks she isn't good enough, so she tries desperately to learn how to cook, how to dress, and how to be a proper Mrs. Lu. It isn't until the day she receives a diagnosis at the hospital that she finally understands.

It isn't that she isn't good enough. She's simply not the right person for him.

So she takes off her wedding ring, signs the divorce papers, and decides to disappear without a word.

But the day she finally turns to leave, the proud man who never lowers his head drops to his knees in the pouring rain, his eyes red.

"Su Nian, I was wrong."

"Please, don't go."
