Five-Year-Old Tuantuan Examines a Corpse, and the Entire Court Panics

The son of the Minister of Rites dies in his own pond, and the whole city calls it an accident.

But five-year-old Song Tuantuan squats beside the body and pries open the dead man's clenched fingers. “Father, he didn't drown. He even ate osmanthus cakes last night!”

Song Huaian, the Minister of Justice, is framed and demoted to a crumbling shack beside the mortuary.

Who could have guessed that his daughter Song Tuantuan, with her little tool bag on her back, can piece together a complete trail of clues left by the culprit from dirt under a fingernail, moss on a shoe sole, and grease on a hem?

Father and daughter join forces to crack one strange case after another.

The drowning of a young nobleman, the theft of tribute goods, a palace maid's fall from a tower...

With each case they solve, another court official turns pale.

When someone sets a trap to frame him, Song Huaian strikes back on the spot.

When someone hires assassins to silence a witness, Tuantuan finds the mastermind from a single speck of dust.

Until she examines the body of the most powerful official in the imperial capital and discovers that the deceased is hiding the real evidence behind her father's demotion...
