The cold-blooded, ruthless court official Rong Shiyan is bound to a Matchmaking System. His mission? Protect the fated romance between top scholar Xie Yunci and the domineering Grand Princess, Chu Zhaoning.
A fated romance? Hah. He doesn't believe in that!
At the same time, the villainess Grand Princess Chu Zhaoning is also bound to a Matchmaking System. Her mission is to bring together the icy King of Hell Rong Shiyan and the talented Shen Tinglan?!
She is the Grand Princess of Great Chu. She has slapped princes into spinning tops and the spoiled sons of noble families into pig-faced messes.
She fears no one under heaven or on earth, except her uncle Rong Shiyan. Set her up with him? Is this System insane?
There's a punishment, too? Oh, oh, no, no, she's gone deaf!
There's a reward, too? Oh, oh, yes, yes, she's cured!
And so Xie Yunci, the poor-born hero who should have been mercilessly oppressed by the villain, rose to great heights, carried there every step of the way by the "plot."
Meanwhile, Shen Tinglan, the heroine who should have been mercilessly bullied by the villainess, had it easy. Anyone who crossed her was chased down and beaten by the Grand Princess.
But why has the progress bar stopped moving after reaching a certain point?!
The frustrated villainess starts hitting everyone she sees!
A big-mouthed courtier gets a slap!
A clueless assassin gets a slap!
And the idiot who ruins someone's good time gets the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms!
