A modern history researcher traveled through the fictional Dayao Dynasty, and started out as a poor scholar under the pseudonym Wei Zhao. With the knowledge accumulated in later generations, he passed the county examination, government examination, and palace examination and won the top three positions to become an official. Later, by chance, he inherited the position of idle marquis. He also showed his ability to run the army during the border chaos and became a military general. He gradually integrated the forces of all parties and wiped out the separatist regimes, and finally established a new order in the struggle for hegemony in troubled times.
