The moment Shen Hua opened her eyes, she had become a refugee fleeing a devastating flood.
At the village entrance, everyone chose the best prospects for marriage. She was the only one who chose a man who was as good as dead.
He had been unconscious for three years, but after she married into his family, she became the unquestioned mistress of the household. Her mother-in-law and sister-in-law obeyed her every word.
Her cousin married into a wealthy family in the village and mocked Shen Hua every day for gathering wild herbs.
She never expected Shen Hua to make a better life for herself by gathering mushrooms, making tofu, raising pigs, and farming. Shen Hua even founded the Great Jing Dynasty’s first seed company by growing corn, drawing people from all over the country to buy her seeds.
She was well on her way to becoming the richest woman around.
Her mother-in-law felt sorry for her lonely marriage and picked out several handsome young men with fair skin for her.
“A woman’s youth shouldn’t go to waste. If you like them, bring them all into your rooms. If not, I’ll find you a few more.”
With a mother-in-law this good, Shen Hua was rubbing her hands in anticipation when her comatose husband suddenly woke up. He went on to pass the imperial examinations with top honors at every stage and rose straight to the position of chief minister.
He was harsh and formidable, not at all her type. She wrote him a letter of divorce and prepared to kick him out.
On a rainy night, the man’s eyes were red as he threw himself down beside the bed.
“Big Sister, please take me. I’ll serve you well...”
[Brilliant student-farmer heroine + Green-tea, lovesick chief minister + Older woman-younger man romance]
P.S. The story focuses mainly on the heroine reclaiming wasteland and farming. Later, the hero takes the imperial examinations while she uses the opportunity to expand her business nationwide, cultivating a land of prosperity and a peaceful age!
I went to write my wife's blog when I traveled through time and immediately took over the job of nanny. I'm so service-minded 🙂
I haven't seen the male protagonist wake up yet. He has been cooking food and pursuing a career. The male protagonist currently has zero roles and zero lines 😂. It's nothing great. Occasionally, it is solved quickly. Basically, it is about pursuing a career to improve life. Or do you wish there were more love scenes? A pure career is a bit boring. Is it okay to intersperse writing? When will the hero wake up 🤔
Very nice 👍👍👍👍👍
