He Chases Me to the Crematorium, but I Turn Around and Marry the Imperial Uncle

The title of the book is straightforward, but the content is more restrained than expected. The heroine Shen Qingyue was disfigured when she blocked an arrow for the prince. She was humiliated in public during the ceremony of conferring the title of queen, and she asked to be deposed and fled to the border. Three months later, the prince knelt down and begged to turn back. She was already holding the emperor's uncle's arm, not even looking at him. The plot is indeed standard, but the author writes it with a sense of proportion. There is no long paragraph of crying, but details are left blank - Shen Qingyue crosses the threshold without looking back, the emperor's uncle Li Chengjing "looks from a distance without saying a word", the prince kneels in the snow until he coughs. The three people have their own concerns, and their emotions are suppressed in the actions, which makes it more poignant. It currently has 73,000 words and has just begun to plot the plot. The heroine is not just in love and looking for revenge, her border experience has given her her own power, and the intervention of the emperor's uncle also mixed with the court games. The drama of the prince's regret has not yet reached its climax, but the intensity of the "crematorium" has been laid. However, the length is still short. It remains to be seen whether the subsequent plot can be sustained and whether the supporting characters will become tool-human. It is suitable for readers who like "torture of men" and "those in superior positions bow their heads", especially for lovers of ancient Chinese novels who are fed up with the male protagonist always dominating the female protagonist. The writing is smooth and not pretentious, and there is no pressure to catch up on it. You can recuperate before reading again. Five-star recommendation!

The author is very good at writing blank spaces. Shen Qingyue "didn't look back" when she crossed the threshold, Li Chengjing "looked from a distance without saying a word", and Li Muchen was so hot in the snow that he coughed - none of them are sensational, but you can feel the weight of each of the three people. This kind of point-to-point writing is more advanced than a long paragraph of crying.

The author is very restrained. The cruel parts are not written to death, and the sweet parts are not boring. For example, when Li Chengjing sent ginger soup, he just said "Send ginger soup at night and leave it at the door." He didn't say anything about it, but the readers understood it all. White space is the foundation of this book.

The cool points are laid out just right, the emotional lines are delicate and moving, the characters are three-dimensional and vivid, there is no redundant plot, and it is very enjoyable.
