This Noble Bandit Just Wants to Take It Easy

Jada's grand eastern expedition ended in failure after the Church stabbed him in the back.

But once the flames of ambition are lit, they never die. An age of conflict, forged in iron and fire, has begun.

Our protagonist, Duke, only wanted to be a lazy noble, moonlighting as a highwayman and living out his days in a mountain ravine.

In the end, he was met with one cry after another: “Without Duke, what hope is there for the people?”

“Face-Smashing Maniac” Duke: “Looks like I have no choice but to come out of the mountains.” (Fenghua dialect)

Hot-blooded headshots + territory development + farming + conquest + half-orc protagonist + meme references.

The biggest fear when writing a Western fantasy conquest story is that the power scaling will collapse and it will turn into a solo-leveling story. The author will be sure to watch out for this and keep the personal storyline balanced with farming and management.

The author guarantees the power scaling here: unless you're a tanky melee fighter, an undead creature, or an elemental being, even a legendary warrior can be killed by a single shot from a siege crossbow if it hits the body.
