Su Xiaosu seems like an innocent, lovable puppy of a man, but beneath that sheep’s clothing is a top-tier assassin. His life motto: patience is the deadliest weapon.
When he receives a new assignment, Su Xiaosu blinks his big, innocent eyes and asks, “Who am I supposed to kill, sis?”
“No one. You’re going to play the pretty boy.”
Posing as a naive intern, he infiltrates the wealthy Feng Teng Group. He expects to coast through the job, but on his very first day, the CEO’s wife, Li Man, takes a liking to him. Behind her gentle exterior, she has three secret lovers and is plotting a shocking conspiracy.
As Su Xiaosu fends off Li Man’s advances, he discovers that Feng Teng Group is secretly carrying out a resource-grabbing scheme: swallowing up the city’s mines, oil fields, and forests by absorbing small and midsize businesses. Worse, he learns by chance that his biological father was the mine owner the group had killed twenty years ago.
And so the puppy begins the game he plays best: his enemies think he’s flirting, but he’s gathering evidence; they think they have him under their thumb, but he’s making his moves; they think they’ve won, when in fact they’ve already walked into his trap.
Li Man’s three lovers, Feng Teng’s crafty old CEO, the vice president who covets his looks... Every target thinks they’re the hunter, never realizing they’re the ones on the menu.
And so begins a hilarious game of resources, revenge, and a fortune worth billions.
