Snow will never fall on the sea, just like Gesang on the plateau and Wenyu in the south of the Yangtze River. They are separated by life and death in this life and cannot fulfill their promise to see the sea; but the snow will melt and the rivers will flow to the sea, symbolizing the persistence and love of the two people across life and death. They hope that in the next life they will no longer be separated by mountains and seas and stay together by the sea.
