Consumed by Day and Night

[One-night stand / contract bedmates / groveling chase / second marriage]

On her third wedding anniversary, Xia Wanxing is set up by her husband and spends the night with a stranger.

Her husband stages a “caught in the act” scene, accuses her of cheating and being unable to “bear children,” and forces her to leave with nothing so he can live happily ever after with his mistress.

With her mother’s life hanging by a thread and nowhere else to turn, she goes to Fu Wenzhou, the man she spent that night with.

He hands her a check. “Be my bedmate. I’ll pay you, and you’ll be mine.”

She thinks it’s a humiliating deal and signs the contract, becoming his bedmate.

But Fu Wenzhou takes the drinks for her, protects her, and throws a punch when her ex-husband tries to harass her.

“How dare you touch my woman? Get lost!”

When her ex pulls a self-pitying groveling chase act, Fu Wenzhou puts his arms around his pregnant wife and gets revenge on behalf of the woman she used to be.

“You useless seed who can’t get anyone pregnant, stay away from my wife! Don’t interfere with our baby’s development.”

As it turns out, he was the one who fell first and fell hardest all along.

We began with an accident, but now we’re entangled day after day, lost in each other night and day, and deeply in love.
