You Really Took the Advice and Became a Film Emperor in Chinese Entertainment

[A story about taking advice, reborn in the entertainment industry of the 2000s, on the path to becoming an actor, with interactions with female stars]

After waking up reborn in the entertainment industry of the new millennium, Lin Zhou has just entered the business and keeps hitting one obstacle after another, falling into one trap after another.

Industry veterans, directors, and fellow actors all offer him advice.

Everyone else scoffs, but Lin Zhou follows every word to the letter.

“Don’t take this terrible movie, it’ll ruin your reputation!”

Lin Zhou: I’ll take your advice. He turns it down immediately and lands a promising script instead.

“Don’t play this role. It’s a thankless job!”

Lin Zhou: I’ll take your advice. He grits his teeth and hones his acting until his supporting performance dazzles everyone.

The industry mocks him, saying he believes whatever anyone tells him and has no mind of his own.

But no one knows that every well-meant piece of advice triggers a reward from his Advice-Taking System.

Acting boosts, god-tier scripts, connections and resources, hit-song copyrights, all keep pouring in!

He rejects bad shows, crushes the celebrity hype, and outshines one top-tier star after another.

From an unknown extra to a male model, he fights his way forward, wins the Golden Goblet and the Golden Rooster, and stands on the awards stage as a celebrated leading actor in Chinese entertainment!

The whole internet erupts:

“Other people climb the ladder by working the angles, but he makes it in the industry just by taking advice?!”
